Texas Tech University designed their Doctor of Philosophy in Special Education to equip leaders who are motivated to shape the future of education. Texas Tech’s curriculum provides goals that individually prepare graduates for research, teacher education, program development, and evaluation. The degree is a total of 90 credits for the Ph.D., but students can transfer in their master’s or graduate coursework for up to 30 credits. Coursework is divided into five different categories, which include Tool Courses, College Foundations, and Special Education.
